Often listening to another genuinely means looking beneath the words we hear in attempt to truly receive what someone is sharing with us. The highest wisdom is in non attachment to the words we deliver as a means to anything at all, the gift is to let other's words mean everything as we hear them. Words may not mean a lot but we take them in. In every form they are spoken, sung and even slammed in poetic verse. Silence for most means isolation of the human spirit and cages the voices ability to define itself, to matter. True, the character of a man is seen in what he does and does not do, what he shares and does not share. What we must remember is that all this experienced through the eyes of others, more importantly, how what his eyes see, matters to him. For what good is light if in burns in the deep woods where no one sees it's greatest vision. Or gets to glow in the wake of it's validation and collectivity. That which inflames a man's heart and alerts him to his own awakening must not be hidden nor flicker in it's journey to self, wisdom and truth must be heard.
